JOINT FORCE OF PNP AND BARANGAY POLICE IN PREVENTING AND REDUCING CRIME IN SELECTED BARANGAYS IN LUCENA, CITY; IMPLICATION TO EFFECTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness and reliability of Joint Force of PNP and Barangay Police in Preventing and Reducing Crime in Selected Barangay in Lucena, City; Implication to Effective Law Enforcement. The gathering of data was conducted in Lucena, City and three barangays including barangay Cotta, Barangay Market view, and Barangay Dalahican through descriptive research. A total of 100 respondents 40 are the PNP and 60 for the Barangay Tanod,. The result show that the most priorities of the barangay tanod in dalahican, Marketview, and cotta make assistance in community activities like fiesta and encouraging every citizen to join the “crime watch” that every citizen can report about crime incident and for theTanod to respond quickly, and the Research display that the PNP and Barangay Tanod need extra effort to have good relation to the citizen for them to reduce crime in their respective place.
