MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN THE UTILIZATION OF ICT RESOURCES IN SELECTED DISTRICTS OF QUEZON PROVINCE

Abstract
This research focused on the management strategies in the utilization of ICT
resources in selected districts of Quezon Province. Using descriptive research, 151
teachers were randomly selected from the Alabat, Perez, and Quezon Districts.
Survey questionnaire served as data gathering tool. Frequency, percentage,
weighted mean, t-test, and ANOVA were used as statistical treatment.
Results showed that management strategies in the utilization of ICT
resources in terms of maintenance and arrangements include properly maintaining
materials inside the ICT resources. In terms of instructional schedule, there is
schedule of accommodation for dedicated computer resources. In terms of ICT
rules and regulations, any behavior that interferes with the work of other students
and staff is prohibited. Its functions aid in the lack of computer literacy. Meanwhile,
there was a significant difference in their perceptions on the instructional schedule
and functions when they are grouped as to age, sex, and rank; on functions when
they are grouped as to age, sex, and length of experience; and on maintenance and
arrangements when they are grouped as to sex, rank, educational attainment. However, their demographic characteristics are not influencing factors on their
perceptions on ICT rules and regulations.
