DEVELOPMENT OF SUPPLY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR CALAYAN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC. WITH DESCRIPTIVE ANALYTICS

Abstract
The study aims to develop a web-based supply management
information system for Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc. (CEFI) with
Descriptive Analytics. It primarily manages the request and issuance of
CEFI supplies. The requester requests and approver approves or rejects it
online. The status of the request can also be viewed in real time. The
system also allows the students to reserve personalize school uniform
cloth. It also allows advisers or college deans to reserve for wash day t
shirt and sizes for easy and precise counting. Students can also view
information on cloth or t-shirts availability. The data gathered allow the
system to generate descriptive data analytics which serve as a reference to
the supply office for their future procurement to serve their client fast and
efficient.
The incremental model is used as the system methodology and
serves as a guide in conducting the project. Unified Modeling Language is
used as a tool to create the logical design of the system. Appropriate
database storage and programming language are applied in order to develop the system. The results of system evaluation from the respondents
are very favorable. It indicates that the system is useful for the prospective
users and it saves their time and cost.
