VIDEO INSTRUCTION AS A TOOL FOR TEACHING FOLKDANCES AND ITS EFFECT TO THE LEVEL OF DANCE MASTERY AMONG GRADE 12 STUDENTS OF BURDEOS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the effect of video instruction as a tool in teaching folkdances and its effect on the level of dance mastery among Grade 12 students of Burdeos National High School. The respondents of the study were the students from the four sections of Grade 12 for the SY 2018 – 2019. The Quasi-experimental research was used in this study to find out the effect of video instruction to the level of dance mastery of Burdeos National High School. Pre-test and Post – Test was the main instrument, the statistical tools used were frequency, percentage, t-test for independent samples and p-value. MINITAB was used for statistical computations and further confirmed by MS Excel Data Analysis.
The findings of this study revealed that there is no significant difference between the Traditional and Video instruction in teaching folkdances, and there is also no significant difference on the Pre – Test, and Post – Test dance performance between experimental and control groups. The results of the study served as the bases for designing action and school activities to enhance the effect of video instruction in teaching folkdances.
