Modification Design of Jet Spray Cleaning Machine

Abstract
In TDK Plant 1 Slider Fabrication, Lapping plate is re furnish in a process called Plate preparation process, Where in thru this process cleaning machine is use to remove tin burst and clean plate surface after shaving. The problem upon using plate-cleaning machine is the manual method of chemical application to plate surface. Plate is place on top of cleaning machine and by pressing Start button, Plate rotate while the application of chemical (detergent) is done manual by opening the ball valve. And so as for ultra-pure water it is also done manually. Due to manual method procedures, Equipment engineering department was task to develop new ways of cleaning plate without manual method, and to convert the cleaning machine into full automatic. Equipment design group provided the design for modified jet spray cleaning mechanism, And the prototype modification of jets spray cleaning machine controller module was required to operate the machine in full automatic mode .A solution must be provided to achieve the prototype design for the modified jets spray cleaning machine controller module to control cylinder movement,ultra-pure water,detergent, and compress air and the to synchronize to machine automatic mode operation.
Thus, this study concentrated on the improvement of plate cleaning process. The researcher choose this particular machine due to the manual method of plate cleaning. The problems that the researcher seeks to improve by developing a prototype of modified jets spray cleaning machine controller module to convert the machine to fully automatic operation.
In this study the researcher made used of research and development method to develop reliable techniques for controller module for modification of jets spray cleaning machine. Using the various formulas and the different principles of engineering, the researchers come up with the solution of controller module using different electronics component. In achieving the objective of this study, the researcher performed the following procedures: data gathering, project proposal design, and evaluation design.
The study concluded that the used of simulator software, journal and reference book gives an accurate result in making the prototype. This project study will be part of machine improvement and for safety compliance of the machine to company policy.
