A Prototype design of Water leak alarm System for GMW machine

Completed2017

Abstract

In TDK Philippines Corporation, as a semiconductor company, there is a process called Rho-h process, wherein thru this process the component of hard disk drive the Magneto Resistive Head is put into a series of test. The Rho-h process is compose of environmental testing wherein unit are loaded chamber with temperature of -50 degree then after 30 minutes it will rise to 140 degree Celsius. Then it will be cure to Oven with 165 degree Celsius for 12 hours. After curing, it will test to INI and GMW machine to correct the magnetic field direction. These machines are equipped with high current power supply which is very dangerous to machine operator once water leak will occur. Water leak on the machine can cause major incidents resulting in both human injuries and financial losses. In this study the researcher made use of research and development method to develop reliable techniques for detecting water leakage. Using the various formulas and the different principles of engineering, the researchers come up with the solution of switching circuit using different electronics component. In achieving the objective of this study, the researcher performed the following procedures: data gathering, project proposal design, and evaluation design. The study concluded that the used of simulator software, journal and reference book gives an accurate result in making the prototype. This project study will be part of machine improvement and for safety compliance of the machine to company policy.
