"DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT PERFORMANCE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR SENIOR HIGH STUDENTS OF LUCBAN ACADEMY"

Completed2017

Abstract

The design and the implementation of electronic media in school transactions have grown exponentially in the last years, spurred by the fact that the growth rate of enrolment every year calls for a change in the systems employed by schools to facilitate and weigh demand over workload. Increase in student-to-teacher ratios has, therefore, increase the workload of the teachers. This system is important in collecting all data and information of students in one organization to be in one place or system. The system normally provides very helpful assistance that will assist humans as to keeping the inventory of files or other purposes. The proposed system is a stand-alone system. This system focused on recording and updating the data. It also provides a report or printed document to the user in the system which will make the status of the students easier to check. Basically, the main focus of this system is to help the teachers and the principal in the management of the student information. Therefore, it will help the teacher to search and update information, and decrease the redundancy of information and not be repeated anymore in the future. Therefore, this development of student performance monitoring system is developed with a database that included student performance, student information, student list, activity information, and report view. Moreover, lesser human intervention in the task involving numerous transactions and distributed work has proven increased competency in Information Technology and other communications-related industries. It is seen to be a growing evidence of IT industries leading to substantial improvements in productivity by automating their routinary activities. If this capability would be incorporated to school works such as grading procedures, the arduous task of record keeping might be delegated to machines or tools which can handle various automated and computing jobs and thus improve work outcomes.
