AN ASSESSMENT ON THE COMMON CAUSES AND REASONS FOR THE WORSENING TRAFFIC CONGESTION IN LUCENA CITY

Abstract
This study identified an Assessment on the Common Causes and Reasons for the Worsening Traffic Jams in Lucena City. The respondents were divided into three that composed of commuters, drivers and traffic enforcer who were asked about the common causes and reasons for the worsening traffic jams in Lucena City. The result of the data taken from this group helped to come up with a more precise answer to the study. The data were analyzed and interpreted to arrive in a better and clearer understanding of the study.
The result of the study revealed that majority of the respondents who were already at the middle age, were have more experience in current situation of traffic jam in Lucena. All the weighted arithmetic mean of all main and sub methods in preventing causes and factors that affect traffic jams were classified by the respondent at the effective bracket. However, traffic rules and regulations implemented in Lucena City is still effective but still have room for improvement. In terms of the problems encountered by the respondents, the average weighted mean equals it to respondents problem, indicating that there is still some problems that is needed to be fixed, in order to get the maximum satisfactory performance.
