LEVEL OF SAFETY AND SECURITY OF PHILIPPINE ARMY PERSONNEL DURING COMBAT PATROL IN SELECTED MUNICIPALITIES OF QUEZON PROVINCE

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of safety and security of AFP personnel during combat patrol. The gathering of data was conducted in 87th Sandiwa Infantry Batallion, Gumaca Quezon and 74th Infantry Batallion Catanuan, Quezon. The researchers utilized the descriptive-survey method of research. A total of 60 respondents answered the questionnaire composed of 3 private, 36 private first class, 7 seargeant, 2 sseargeant, 4 TSgt., 1 Lt., 1 Lt. Cl, 1Captain, 1 Major and 4 Cpl. Findings revealed that level of safety and security is high in terms of preparations except for the carrying of flashlight. Safety measurement giving full attention to warning of impending danger is the most important.The safety measurement are closely related in the result of weighted mean. Meanwhile, in terms common problems that Gumaca and Catanuan experiencing is not serious and nothing agency can’t handle.
