The use of lemon water as a means in maintaining optimum urine pH level

Abstract
This study was designed to determine the effectiveness of lemon water as a means of maintaining optimum pH level in the urine. The study was participated by 34 female residents of Purok Bagong Silang, Brgy Gulang- Gulang , Lucena City . They all underwent initial assessment of their nutritional status, occupation, recreational activities and other activities of daily living. Maintaining the optimum pH level of urine as an outcome variable was measured through experimental design utilizing two group’s random selection with pre and post test. This was used to determine any differences that appear in the post test and can be seen in the result of the experimental variable rather than the possible difference between the two groups. Study results revealed that lemon water has a notable effect in the pH level of the individual participants.
