The Use of Lexical Chunking in Selected Text for Grade Five Pupils: A Content Analysis

Abstract
This study focused on the use of lexical chunking in selected texts for grade five in terms of collocations, phrasal verbs, and idioms. A content analysis was made on the different kinds of lexical chunks, function of lexical chunks, and use of lexical chunks in six textbooks, namely English Expressways (Reading), English Expressways (Language), Science and Health 5, Science for Daily Use, Liking Mathematics 5, and Mathematics for Better Life 5.
