The Perceived Manifestations of Stress in a Workplace of MSEUF Professors and their Zodiac Personalities

Abstract
This study focused on determining the manifestation of stress in a workplace of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation professors and the zodiac personalities. It employed the descriptive type of research wherein a test was used to determine and gather data and to ensure its usability and acceptability.
The study was conducted in Lucena City, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation. There were a total of 60 professors as respondents using purposive sampling from different department who were part of the study. Frequency, percentage, weighted mean and total weighted value were used in the statistical analysis.
Analysis of the results reveals that most of the professors stress from work is having a small faculty room, because of not having personal issues at work and because of backstabbing faculty members.
According to the professors, the coping mechanisms that they used are to concentrate on something good for them, criticizing themselves when they are stressed and responding in a ways that does not alienate others. This study also determines the defense mechanism used by the professors from different zodiacs.
This study can be used as indicator of stress and the way professors cope in stressful situations and can take actions immediately to solve these kinds of problem.
