Abstract

This study is focused on determining the level of performance of the delivery of health services of Agdangan Municipal Health Office. Basically a descriptive survey research, the study used questionnaire that elicited the socio-economic profile of the respondents, their level of awareness regarding the different programs and services given by Agdangan Municipal Health Office, the level of performance of Agdangan Municipal Health Office in terms of leadership and governance, availability of medical supply and equipment, and health personnel and lastly, the impacts of services on general health and well-being of the residents. The study was conducted in the municipality of Agdangan Quezon and consisted of local residents from the selected locale. There were a total of 100 random respondents. Findings revealed the dominance of respondent who are aware of the different programs and services implemented by the Municipal Health Office. Specifically, access for infants and mothers became the most implemented services given by the Municipal Health Office. Meanwhile, there is a dominance of having not enough supply of medicines and equipment in the Municipal Health Office. Hence, diseases and sicknesses in the community are still an issue and problem in the community. This entails the need for LGU to exert more efforts in helping the public health office by providing more quality and life-saving medicines that will enable the residents to live longer, healthier and become more productive members of society.
