Perceived Impact of the Gawad Kalasag of the NDRRMC on the Quality of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Among the Recipient Municipalities of Quezon Province

Abstract
The study is a descriptive type of research using a quantitative approach. It was conducted through a survey among the selected respondents. The quantitative method was used to answer the sub problems of the study. The questionnaire was made through several literatures regarding the recognition scheme. The use of quantitative form of data gathering aims to determine the perception of the people involved in the field of disaster management regarding the perceived impact of the Gawad KALASAG on the quality of disaster risk reduction and management that each municipality provides.
This study was conducted in the municipalities of Pitogo, Tiaong, Mauban, Lucban and Infanta of Quezon Province, wherein the stated localities were already conferred with the Gawad KALASAG award.
In this study, the researcher chose municipal, barangay, as well as DRRM officials and employees as the respondents. A total of 88 respondents were asked to answer a survey questionnaire.
The locales were visited to gather the data necessary to answer the problem of the study and in order to derive concrete findings, conclusions and recommendations.
To come up with concrete recommendations, all findings, ideas, and other library results were crossed checked to have a more reliable and concrete results, conclusion and recommendations in determining the perceived impact of the Gawad KALASAG recognition scheme.
