Assessment of Campus Security Practices among Public and Private HEIs in the CALABARZON: Implication to the Development of a Campus Safety and Security Program

Abstract
The primary objective of this study was to identify the current security systems/ measures/practices applied by the private and state universities/colleges in the CALABARZON region as well as to assess the current security practices of these higher education institutions with regard to: (a) day to day operations; (b) emergency preparedness; (c) ability to respond to threats; and (d) preventive measures. This study also considered the factors which are helpful in the management of safety and security in institutions of higher learning.
