Area of Research
Abstract
The Philippine archipelago is known for its rich biodiversity. However, detrimental external factors were brought by adverse impacts due to man-made activities that endangered the lives of many species. The lack of knowledge and the excesses of the human population resulted to the extinction of wildlife. With this environmental crisis the need to educate the public.
This paper focused in the development of a biodiversity research and exhibit center in Los Banos Laguna that will serve as a center for research and as a venue for the promotion and exhibit of environmental projects at Region IV-A. It will also serve for science trainings focusing on the country’s flora and fauna. With the use of sustainable design and bioclimatic architecture, the proposed research and exhibit center will advocate and promote environmental principles and biodiversity throughout the Region and the country.
