Abstract

he purpose of this study was to look into how e-dalaw and in-person visits affected PDL rehabilitation at BJMP Quezon District Jail. The study used a quantitative methodology, with semi-structured questionnaires serving as the main tool for gathering data. With a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error, 150 PDLs in total were chosen as respondents using the Raosoft and random selection technique, guaranteeing the representation and diversity of viewpoints throughout the jailed community. The study's anticipated results provided important new information about the complex preferences and experiences of PDLs about visitation modes. It is predicted that although both in-person and e-dalaw visits are appreciated for their capacity to support emotional support and enable connection with loved ones, notable distinctions between them in terms of their effects on mental health may surface. Compared to e-dalaw, in-person visits are anticipated to be linked to stronger emotional bonds, greater levels of satisfaction, and better psychosocial adjustment, underscoring the significance of physical presence and in-person interactions in fostering mental health among those who are
