AN ASSESSMENT OF THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION OF UNIFORMED PERSONNEL ON NON-UNIFORMED PERSONNEL'S JOB PERFORMANCE: A GUIDE FOR IMPROVEMENT
Area of Research
Abstract
This study evaluated the satisfaction of uniformed personnel with the performance of
non-uniformed personnel in the Philippine National Police (PNP) and its implications for
cooperation, operational efficiency, and community protection, aligning with Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) 8 and 16 which both promotes inclusivity, decent work and
sustainable development for all. The primary objective was to analyze the satisfaction levels
between uniformed personnel and non-uniformed personnel performance, emphasizing how this
affects collaboration and institutional effectiveness. Using a quantitative approach, a survey was
conducted among 239 Class A uniformed personnel in Quezon Province through Google Forms.
Data collection and analysis followed a systematic process guided by PNP and Civil Service
Commission regulations, focusing on collaborative dynamics and their role in achieving
operational objectives. The results revealed a positive correlation between uniformed personnel
satisfaction and non-uniformed personnel performance, with cooperation identified as a key
factor in enhancing community responsiveness and operational efficiency. Satisfaction with nonuniformed personnel performance was determined to be a primary driver for improving
collaboration and overall efficiency. The study emphasized bridging gaps between satisfaction
levels to strengthen partnerships and align institutional performance with the SDGs. As an
output is a detailed description of the satisfaction levels of uniformed personnel and their impact
on cooperation with non-uniformed personnel. Information gained could be used to assist in the design of a program intended to improve satisfaction and cooperation between the two groups.
Ultimately, the study highlights the importance of fostering satisfaction and collaboration in
creating a safer, more just society and promoting sustainable development through effective
partnerships within the PNP.
