IMPLEMENTATION LEVEL OF GENDER SENSITIVITY AMONG TRI-BUREAUS IN LUCENA CITY: A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Abstract

This study investigated the level of gender of sensitivity among the tri-bureaus in Lucena City to get insight into the awareness and integration of gender viewpoints within these governmental institutions. Personnel from the three bureaus in Lucena City were polled and interviewed as part of the data collection plan. While Qualitative data was thematically analyzed to discover intricacies and underlying causes influencing gender sensitivity procedures, quantitative study employed descriptive statistics to determine the overall level of gender sensitivity within each bureau. The findings revealed that the bureaus varied in their awareness, policies, and implementation of gender-responsive initiatives, as well as their evels of gender sensitivity. Organizational culture, leadership commitment, and training opportunities were identified as important factors of gender-sensitive practices within each bureau. This study emphasizes the importance of developing a more inclusive and gender-responsive organizational culture within government institutions in order to address gender gaps and promote fair service delivery. Recommendations are made for improving gender sensitivity training programs, developing gender mainstreaming procedures, and creating a conducive atmosphere for gender equality activities within Lucena City's three bureaus.
