Abstract
Over the decades, tourism has experienced continued growth and deepening
diversification to become one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world
According to World Tourism Organization.(UNWTO ) Modern tourism is closely linked to
development and encompasses a growing number of new destinations. These dynamics
have turned tourism into a key driver for socio-economic progress.Today, the business
volume of tourism equals or even surpasses that of oil exports, food products or
automobiles. Tourism has become one of the major players in international commerce, and
represents at the same time one of the main income sources for many developing
countries. This growth goes hand in hand with an increasing diversification and competition
among destinations.
The Philippine is as an archipelago , provides countless tourist destination that
are enjoyed by many ,with different adventure extreme activities to enjoy and best
sceneries to visit , the Philippine is blessed with natural tourist spots consisting of lush
forest, tropical island, while sands and lakes, rivers, mountain, beaches and wonders are
the many of bodies of water that trasitioned the areas betweeen the land and the sea. They
are characterized by a very high biodiversity and it includes some of the richest and must
fragile ecosystem on earth such as mangroves and coral reefs with these natural assets
beaches across the country .

The Tourism Promotion Sector has the primary function of promoting the Philippines
as a tourist destination domestically and internationally According to the Philippine Tourism
(Philippine Department of Tourism 2018) . It devises integrated marketing and promotional
activities such as information dissemination, public relations, special events, and related
tourism programs. It likewise supervises the overseas field offices established to
implement and enhance the tourism development and promotion program of the
Department in the international field.
Although many of us have been “tourists” at some point in our lives, defining what
tourism actually is can be difficult (BC Tourism Industry). Tourism is the activities of people
traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for leisure, business or
other purposes for not more than one consecutive year.Tourism is a dynamic and
competitive industry that requires the ability to adapt constantly to customers’ changing
needs and desires, as the customer’s satisfaction, safety and enjoyment are particularly the
focus of tourism businesses.
