The Effectiveness of the Fire Education and Prevention Program of the BFP as Perceived by the Residents of Lucena City.

Abstract
The study focused on the effectiveness of the fire education and prevention program of BFP as perceived by the residents of Lucena City. It utilized descriptive research design employing quantitative methods. Since this is quantitative, a questionnaire was used as the main research instrument. The questionnaire was self-made and validated for credibility. The primary subjects of this research study consisted of three hundred eighty-four (384) respondents from different barangays in Lucena City,
based on using the RAOSOFT calculator, who were attending seminars and had
knowledge of fire education. Participants were chosen using purposive sampling.
Findings revealed that fire education and prevention is generally effective in the
community of Lucena City. Moreover, the result highlighted the importance of fire
education and prevention, to promote a decrease in cases of fire incidents in the
community for safety response and awareness. This problem needed the specific
participation of the residents, fire drills, and training. To increase community awareness
in the community about the importance of fire education and prevention programs of the Bureau of Fire Protection. The study concluded the lack of equipment , experience, and participation of the people in the community. Thus, it is recommended that the challenges in the community, it could be straightened participation and conducted a fire education program in every barangay.
