Completed2024

Abstract

The local government unit in charge of carrying out councils and policies about the welfare and protection of children in a particular barrio is the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC). In this study, the researchers utilized descriptive design aims to systematically gather accurate and reliable information that helped the researchers come up with a well-founded result. This study asked the 25 key informants from CSWD personnel through a sampling procedure under judgment sampling. This study revealed the effectiveness of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) in the broader juvenile justice system. The findings of this study were that the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) has demonstrated significant success in addressing juvenile delinquency through a comprehensive strategy that includes preventive initiatives, active community participation, timely interventions, effective rehabilitation programs, and a strong legal framework. Moreover, this has resulted in a decrease in youth offenses and improved the overall well-being of children in the area. This study created infographic brochures for each Barangay that outlined BCPC's mission, vision, and promotion of juveniles' rights and well-being, support for their rehabilitation and reintegration into society, and measures to ensure community safety and peace.
