Design and Development of Absorbent Material Basis of Ship Oil Prevention Emergency Plan in Merchant Marine Vessel
Area of Research
Abstract
The proposed project aimed to design and develop an absorbent materials as the foundation for a shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan focused on the merchant marine vessel. This material would possess advanced absorption capabilities to effectively contain and mitigate oil spills within the area of the merchant marine vessel, By focusing on the development of this material, the proposal endeavored to fortify ship safety measures, reduce environmental risks, and optimize emergency response protocols in the event of oil spill incidents within the area of merchant marine vessels. The results and outcomes of this design and development research study will pave the way for the creation of absorbent material that can be used on merchant marine vessels for oils spills. the absorbent material basis of ship oil prevention emergency plan in merchant marine vessel. According to evaluation and results this absorbent material is effective in terms of absorbing oil spills in the engine room, it is also efficient and eco-friendly, and in terms of containing oil spills, it is also very functional in the engine room.
