TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT OF UTILIZING ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORD IN PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES AND KONSULTA SERVICES IN THE 3RD AND 4TH DISTRICT OF QUEZON: INPUT TO STRATEGIC ACTION PLAN

This study aimed to evaluate the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Konsulta services in public health facilities within the 3rd nad 4th District of Quezon to inform strategic action plans that enhance patient care and clinical workflow to address the critical need for efficient and effective healthcare information management. The research employed a comprehensive approach to develop a robust framework for EMR implementation. Through stakeholder engagement and quantitative analysis, the study identified key barriers to adoption, such as resistance to change and insufficient training, while also highlighting the potential benefits of EMRs. including improved patient care, enhanced data accuracy, and streamlined administrative processes. The strategic action plan consisted of actionable steps, including stakeholder engagement initiatives, targeted training programs, infrastructure enhancements, and policies to promote interoperability and data security. The study advocates a phased implementation strategy that prioritizes pilot programs and ongoing evaluation to ensure adaptability and sustainability. This research provides evidence-based insights for optimizing EMR utilization and developing a strategic approach to bolster healthcare delivery in the 3rd and 4th District of Quezon , ultimately improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Particularly, this research aimed to provide a roadmap for public health facilities in the 3rd and 4th District of Quezon to successfully transition to an EMR system, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of healthcare delivery.
