A TRACER STUDY OF THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MARINE TRANSPORTATION GRADUATES AT MANUEL S. ENVERGA UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION A.Y. 2017-

Abstract
This study traced the general and employment data of BSMT graduates. It also determined the demographic profile of the graduates in both personal and educational settings. It also examined their employability status, the competencies learned in college, and their overall college experience. Moreover, the study used descriptive research with 87 respondents. The modified questionnaires developed by the commission on Higher Education (CHED) served as the basis for data gathering for BSMT graduates from the school year 2017 to 2022. This study revealed that BSMT graduates from 2017 to 022 are successful in their careers, with over half employed in maritime-related industries. They excel in critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, Meanwhile, on-the-job training and participation in seminars and competitions were some of the activities that were found helpful in their careers. Furthermore, motivational factors influencing employment include good employee relations, a stable future, personal satisfaction, and recognition. With this, it is concluded that the College of Maritime Education at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation is excellently training and supporting BSMT graduates to generate suggestions and recommendations from the respondents to the University to improve the students' competitive edge.
