Exploring Factors Influencing Maritime Students' Skill Acquisition Using Actual Simulator
Area of Research
Abstract
The maritime workplace is involved in various mechanisms and systems to be processed. It showed the in and out of the processes involved. One of these mechanisms is the use of an actual simulator. The importance of an actual simulator can be traced in the soul of the maritime workplace. The main objective of this study was to explore the factors influencing maritime students 'skill acquisition under an actual simulator. The main research design that was employed was descriptive quantitative design. A total of two hundred (200) Maritime students were the respondents of this study. The researchers utilized simple random sampling to choose the main resources of the data. The locale was situated in the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation for the School Year 2023-2024. For the data-researchers used the formula of Weighted Arithmetic Mean and t-test. It was concluded that various factors are established in the preferences of maritime students in imploring actual simulators. Three significant factors are found out such as Retention of skills, practice and performance, and Training and mechanisms. These are the added factors to which skills acquisition is done by the students . The processes are dealt with using both internal and external factors. Thus, it is recommended to design and implement a curriculum that strengthens the use of simulators.
