Area of Research
Abstract
The comprehensive plans for the design and establishment of a central terminal at San
Juan Candelaria Road, Brgy. Malabanban Sur, Candelaria, Quezon is delineated within this
study. The focal point of this endeavor is to amalgamate various modes of public transportation,
such as buses, automobiles, jeepneys, motorcycles, and tricycles, into a unified hub, with the
overarching objective of alleviating existing transportation challenges in the area.
Emphasizing traveler comfort, traffic mitigation, and the establishment of a more
sustainable and well-organized transit system. Incorporating urban planning principles,
sustainable design methodologies, and stakeholder consultations, the terminal's layout,
facilities, and amenities are carefully crafted.
Key features of the planned central terminal include designated waiting areas for passengers, equipped with modern conveniences like waiting lounges, as well as designated loading and unloading zones for automobiles, jeepneys, buses, and tricycles. Leveraging pre-survey data, site investigations, soil analyses, and comprehensive research, the study underscores the necessity of situating the central terminal on a 10,000 sq.m lot at San Juan Candelaria Road, Brgy. Malabanban Sur, Candelaria, Quezon , to effectively address the municipality's diverse transporation needs. The architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing aspects of the central terminal underwent meticulous design processes, culminating in the creation of precise technical drawings, detailed plans, technical specifications, bills of materials, cost estimates, and programs of works.
Implementation of the central terminal in Candelaria, Quezon, carries the potential to revolutionize local transporation dynamics by enhancing effciency, sustainabillity, and the overall commuter experience. However, successful integration into urban resources necessitates further feasibility studies and active community engagement to ensure seamless assimilation and maximize benefits for the local populace.
