This can encourage government agencies to proactively develop solutions to the underlying conditions that cause public safety problems. With the help of the survey checklist, the researchers gathered data among the one hundred sixty (160) respondents. This paper also utilized the descriptive method as part of its quantitative research design to determine how effective community policing in the selected barangay reduces crime volume. Frequency Percentage and weighted mean were used as statistical tools for this research. The results showed that the Community Policing in the selected barangays in Calauag Quezon was effective regarding patrol activities and organizational works. At the same time, community interaction was less effective due to a lack of communication with PNP personnel regarding crime-related matters.
The result revealed the challenges and limitations of community policing. The community agreed that there needs to be more trust in law enforcement and that they need to familiarize themselves with the existing community policing in their barangay. This approach will improve confidence, public involvement, and effective community policing.
