LAW ENFORCEMENT STRESS AMONG MALE OFFICERS: THE STUDY ON ITS EFFECTS TO THEIR FAMILY

The general purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of law enforcement stress on the family dynamics of male officers. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, the study aimed to assess the level of stress experienced by law enforcement personnel, identify the contributing factors to stress within this profession, and measure the impact of tress on the relationship between law enforcement officers and their families. To ensure a representative sample, purposive sampling technique was employed to select the respondents. The study was focused on fifty (50) married male law enforcement officers in Lucena City, Quezon Province. Data collection was conducted using printed survey questionnaires administered in-person. The questionnaires were specifically designed to gather information on the officers' stress levels. the factors influencing their stress, and the perceived effects of stress on their family relationships. The output of this study was a comprehensive analysis of the stress experienced by male enforcement officers and its implications to their families. The findings could provide valuable insights into the specific stressors faced by law enforcement officers nad how these stressors impact their family lives .The deliverables generated by this researach can contribute to the development of strategies and interventions aimed at promoting stress management and fostering healthier family dynamics among law enforcement officers. By identifying the factors contributing to stress and understanding their effects on family relationships, policymakers and authorities can implement targeted support programs to mitigate the negative impacts of stress. Ultimately, the study aimed to enhance the overall well-being and functioning of law enforcement officers and their families, ensuring a healthier work-life blance and sustainable career in law enforcement.
