Abstract
One of the continuous efforts that MSEUF is conduction to bring out competent seafarers in the marine industry is the battalion formation, The battalion formation symbolizes MSEUF's commitment to discipline and teamwork. The battalion formation is used for various purposes, including marching, drills, salutes, ceremonies, parades, and other events where the cadets must be organized and disciplined. The significance of battalion formation cannot be emphasized enough. This tactical military arrangement is the foundation for a triumphant operation, facilitating effective leadershop and organization of troops during battles. It forms a united and well-coordinated unit, enhancing communication and collaboration among seafarers.
The purpose of the study was to assess the perceived impact of battalion formation in theManuel S. Enverga University Foundation based on the maritime students' cadet experience. This study determined the factors that influence cadets' experiences with battalion formation and how marine students assess its beneficial effect as a future advantage. The results of this study will improve the operation of MSEUF's Battalion Formation of maritime students.
Through analysis of survey data, several key findings emerge. Firstly students highly value the variety of activites provided by the battalion, citing it as a significant contributor to their overall cadet experience. Secondly, merit-based recognition within the battalion serves as a powerful motivator for cadets, with clear and transparent criteria enhancing their confidence. Additionally, the study reveals that practices related to demerits within the battalion are perceived as well-defined and transparent, contributing to discipline and accountability among
cadets. Furthermore, the analysis highlights the multifaceted impact of battalion formation on students' physical and mental well-being, with students acknowledging both positive and negative effects on their health. Finally, the study identifies a positive correlation between the social atmosphere within the battalion formation on cadet experiences, emphasizing the need for significant influence of battalion formation on cadet experience , emphasizing the need for continued evaluation and enhancement of formation practices to support student development in maritime Education.
