Abstract
Academic institutions aim to produced skilled who can complete both locally and globally. Graduate tracer studies valuable insights into graduates' whereabouts and workplace performance. This study addressed several key questions related to financial management graduates. It explored their background characteristics, career paths encountered challenges, and the relevant skills and competencies they acquired. The study focused on a specific group of financial management graduates: one hundrer-six individuals from the batch of 2016 - 2020. The researchers employed a descriptive design to analyze the career paths of the respondents. Descriptive research is an effective method for gathering data, as it combines observations, personal insights, and numerical elements to characterize the information needed for survey questionnaires. The data gathered were analyzed through frequency, percentage, and weighted mean. The findings indicated that most respondents were females aged 25-29. Additionally, a majority of graduates successfully secured employment after completing their studies. Notably, lack of work- relevant experience was the primary challenge in obtaining their first job. However, the identified values, skills and competencies played a crucial role in preparing these graduates to tackle the encountered challenges.
