Proximity Analysis Through Possible Parking Areas in Selected Locations In Lucena City Proper

Abstract

Lucena City is a highly-urbanized city. One of the city's problems is the lack of parking spaces in its town proper. This study uses a GSIS-based application to find potential locations in Lucena City proper that could be turned into parking lots. Preliminary data were collected from the Local Government Unit of Lucena City and through traverse and relocation survey. A buffer analysis was conducted to determine possible parking areas around the City Proper. Maps highlighting the areas where possible parking sites can be established within 50, 75,100, and 150-m radii were produced have an overall functionality and acceptability rating of 4.85.
