Modification Design of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine
Area of Research
Abstract
The goal ofthis thesis project is to create a vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) for household usage, answering the need for efficient and cost-effective small-scale wind power generation in an era of rising demand for renewable energy. VAWT's outperform traditional horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWTs) in residential areas due to their modest size, omnidirectional wind collection capacity, and low noise levels.
The project includes aerodynamic study, structural design, material selection, and manufacturing and installation issues. The final design's energy output, cost-effectiveness, ease of installation, and maintanance are all assessed. Prototype testing and validation evaluate the performance of the home VAWT in real-world circumstances.
The project's goal is to help develop environmentally friendly and economically priced household energy solutions, giving homeowners another cost-effective and sustainable option for generating electricity.
