MPACT OF COVID – 19 PANDEMIC ON COMMON MOBILE BANKING SERVICES AS PERCEIVED BY SELECTED RESIDENTS OF LUCENA CITY

Abstract

This research study aimed to determine the impact of mobile banking services on some residents of Lucena City, amidst COVID – 19 pandemic. The study determined the respondents’ behavioral background based on how online banking services gave an impact amidst COVID - 19. This study also sought to give significant differences in common mobile banking services according to the demographic profile of the respondents. The quantitative research design was used to accurately and systematically describe a population, situation, or phenomenon. Respondents were given a questionnaire through Google Forms as an alternative for a traditional type of research instrument due to the pandemic where we are limited and restricted to travel and have physical contact with anyone. The researchers chose the purposive sampling method to have a focus on particular participants who can have a valuable contribution to the study. This method is a type of non-probability sampling that is the intentional selection of informants based on their ability to contribute to the problem and justify a specific concept and phenomenon. The data that was collected and analyzed used statistical treatment of data. Frequency, Rank, and Percentage was used to know and measure the demographic profile and the common banking services of the respondents. ANOVA or the analysis of variance was used in this study to find out the significant differences according to the demographic profile in terms of using common mobile banking services amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
