Level of Implementation of RA 4136: An Assessment

Preventing general traffic violations is difficult on roads or urban streets due to inattentive drivers. This small violation is one of the leading causes of accidents. Checkpoint is one of the staging procedures of PNP to control violations in the Republic Act. 4136. This study pursues to identify the level of implementation of the Republic Act. 4136 and the possible violation committed by the vehicle's driver. The researchers used the descriptive approach because it can be used to locate relevant and novel facts or meaning that require adequate and accurate interpretation of findings. it was found that the common violation committed by Lucena City drivers are highly aware of the implementation of the Republic Act 4136 with a 3.48 weighted mean. The Lucena City drivers know the checkpoints and Republict Act 4136. Also, they are aware that the checkpoint always looks at the appearance of the vehicle and drivers, especially the number plate and registration of the vehicle. This research provided a traffic guide to follow the rules and regulations, such as a pamphlet.
