JOB SATISFACTION OF FIREFIGHTERS IN THE CITY OF TAYABAS AND ITS RELATION TO THEIR JOB PERFORMANCE

Abstract

This study aims to determine the job satisfaction of firefighters in the City of Tayabas and its relation to their job performance. More specifically, the study aims to identify the following: determine the respondents, to assess if the satisfaction level is significantly related to the performance of the permanent employee. This study employed a survey questionnaire and collected and analyzed the data. The study was conducted at Barangay angeles 2, Tayabas City, Quezon. It is where the BFP Tayabas City Fire Station Quezon is located. It surveyed 30 selected participants through purposive sampling. Survey questionnaires were used to collect the responses. Furthermore, weighted arithmetic mean and percentage methods are employed for their effectiveness in measuring data nad for the correct indication of total findings which underscore the paramount importance of a nurturing and supportive workplace for the overall well-being and effectiveness of these dedicated professionals. The positive correlations between job satisfaction and performance reinforce the notion that a conducive work environment significantly contributes to productivity and commitment. Such insights serve as a valuable foundation for implementing targeted strategies aimed at further enhancing job satisfaction and performance, ultimately leading to heightened to the ongoing efforts to optimize the conditions and effectiveness of Tayabas City's firefighting force.
