Factors Influencing Vehicular Accidents in the City of Lucena

This study aimed to determine the factors contributing to vehicular accidents in the City of Lucena. It aims to achieve several specific objectives. This research identified the common vehicular accidents. Delve into the causes of accidents, categorizing them based on weather conditions, adherence to raod rules and regulations, and the driver's state and knowledge. Then, the study assessed the effects of theses accidents on road users. Through these objectives, the research intents to shed light on key aspects of road safety and accident prevention. The resesarchers used a descriptive method that is the most appropriate to the nature of the study to systematically obtain information to depict the state of vehicular accidents as well as to evaluate their severity. The data acquired in this research were gathered through statis tics and numbers. It underscores the significant consequences of accidents, emphasizing the necessity for proactive measures, awareness campaigns, and support systems for victims. The finding reflect that sixteen (16) common vehicular accidents transpired here in the city of Lucena. Inclement weather, followed by inadequate roads and under construction, and reckless driving are the causes of accidents. Concerning the effects of accidents, they can result in life-threatening injuries as a consequence of different causes. Comprehensive insights into vehicular accidents and their causes lead to recommendations for enhancing road safety. These include raising awareness, ensuring responsible driving, improving infrastructure, and supporting accident victims.
