PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY LUCENA CITY POLICE PERSONNEL IN IMPLEMENTING THE MINIMUM HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

This study focuses on the problems that Lucena City Police Station personnel faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. its basic purpose is to determine the different problems they encountered in the community. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's become a challenge to the PNP Lucena. Since it is only limited to the problems encountered by PNP Lucena, the study engaged in a quantitative descriptive research approach. To collect data from the members of PNP Lucena and the community of Lucena City, the researchers used a questionnaire as the instrument. The study's target respondents are 30 members of the Lucena City PNP and 30 community members of Lucena City that are randomly choses. A member of the community and personnel of PNP Lucena, either male or female, must be focused on this research. The research instrument were distributed to the members of PNP Lucena and citizens of Lucena City. The details would then be gathered. The result is examined, and the researchers anlyze the potential outcome that is useful to current and future students, parents, and researchers. The community members of Lucena City are part of the study because they are the ones who have experienced the programs implemented by PNP Lucena. With them being part of the study, we can ensure the fairness of the evaluation. In this way, we understand the views of the respondents regarding what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the 2020 Census, Lucena City is divided into 33 barangays and has a population of 278,924. The members of Lucena City have an equal chance of being selected to be part of this study. The result of this study shows that the main problems encountered by PNP Lucena in Implementing minimum health and safety protocols are people not weaking face shields and not following the safety protocols because they are not afraid of the effect of the COVID virus.
