Self-Esteem as a Protective Factor from Anxiety of College students during the Pandemic

Abstract

This study aims to examine Self-Esteem as a protective factor on Students of the College of arts&Sciences from the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation during the pandemic, this will be a Quantitative study that will use the Descriptive Approach, the 4-part survey consisted of the demographic profile of respondents, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale which is 10-item Likert type scale, the Fear of Covid-19 scale and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Screener. A convenience sample of the students from the College of Arts & Sciences were sampled, the surveys were transferred to google forms and sent out to respondents via Email or Facebook Messenger and the MSUEF Student Portal. The data gathered were statistically analyzed to describe the variables relationship which can also be used to design the webinar to boost the self-esteem of College Students and make timely adjustments on implementing guidelines for better mental health counseling
