Abstract

This study aims to explore on the Parenting Styles of Work-from-Home Parents during COVID-19 Pandemic. It focuses on the potential aspect of parent-child relationship during pandemic. Specifically, the study will seek to answer the following objectives: (1) To analyze the parents challenges dealing with childhood behaviors caused by the pandemic. (3) To determine parents personal challenges during pandemic caused by taking care by their children during the pandemic. (4) To analyze parents view and perspective to find new ways to manage child misbehavior in new normal situation. This study will employed a descriptive method and engaged in a qualitative multiple case study research. This descriptive case study will aim to analyze the sequence of interpersonal events after a certain amount of time has passed. Since the purpose of this research was to explore the perspective of Parenting Styles of Work-from-Home Parents during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The researchers used virtual interview as the research instrument to get the data needed in this study. In getting the data, the researchers will provide consent form is returned, the researchers will ask the respondent if taking a video or photo is approved while recording, After that, interview process will begin. In analyzing the data, audio transcription (verbatim) will be used in order to formulate a set of codes and interpretation under it. After the data has been analyzed, the researchers will provide conclusion and recommendation for a possible output that will be significant to the current and future students, parents, future researchers and readers.
