YOUTH AWARENESS ON THE CITY ORDINANCES IN BRGY. ILAYANG IYAM, LUCENA CITY AND THEIR PERCEPTION ON ITS EFFECTIVENESS

This study sought to assess youth awareness on city ordinances and their perception on the effectiveness of such ordinances. The study adopted a descriptive method to gather data and purposive sampling wherein 100 young people in Brgy. Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City was selected. Moreover, the questionnaire was administered online using Google Forms and will be sent via email or messenger. The data collected were all analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage and weighted mean. Having said that, the results revealed that the Young people in Brgy. Ilayang Iyam were all very aware of the ordinances. The findings also showed that the main source of information of the Youth are from their family member/s. However, the effectiveness of the ordinances only the Public Safety were identified as effective. Importantly, the implemented ordinances can lead to developing and creating a safe community
