IMPACT OF VINCENTIMENTS FILMS AS AN ADVANCING ART OF EXPOSING REALITY AS PERCEIVED BY SELECTED VIEWERS IN LUCENA CITY

This research explored the VinCentiments films as an advancing art of exposing reality. It sought to identify the respondents’ level of exposure to VinCentiments films; reasons for watching them; perception of the theme, production, technical aspect, characterization, and dialogue; and impact on their language, attitudes, beliefs, and behavior. Utilizing a descriptive approach, the researcher gathered data from respondents aged 18-25 years old. A social survey questionnaire in Google Forms has been sent to the respondents through Messenger. In analyzing the data, frequency, percentage, and weighted mean has been utilized. After the data was gathered, here is the summary of the results of the study. The selected viewers of VinCentiments in Lucena City have low exposure to the film. They are watching the film because it is trending, and they are curious why many people are offended by it. The viewers see the VinCentiments' theme as exposing the realities in society. Still, they also considered it toxic and annoying because of its biases, and it is used as a tool of propaganda. In terms of characterization, their perception has positive and negative impacts. About the dialogue, they see it as antagonistic. While in technical aspects of the film, they considered it an excellent appearance. In the matter of the impact of VinCentiments Films as an advancing art of exposing reality, the viewers in Lucena City are slightly impacted by learning different languages and dialects. It also barely influences their perception of particular personalities and issues and makes them aware of social problems. Lastly, it slightly impacts them by allowing them to reflect on what is happening in reality and engage with social issues.
