USE OF FACEBOOK AS A PLATFORM FOR PROMOTING MENTAL HEALTH AMONG TEENAGERS

Abstract
This study focused on the use of Facebook as a platform for promoting to mental
health among teenagers of Alabat, Quezon Province. Specifically, it sought to determine
the perception on the use of Facebook on certain parameters, the characteristics of the
social media platforms that mainly affect the mental health of the teenagers, and its
overall impact to them. Descriptive research was used in conducting the study among
the 100 senior high school students. Survey questionnaire was used to collect the data.
To analyze the data, the statistical treatment used were frequency and weighted mean.
