PROs and CONs of ONLINE SELLING: THE CASE OF LUCENA CITY ONLINE SELLERS

Abstract

This study focused on the PROs and CONs that online selling possesses in using the Internet such as social networking sites and a web browser, it has become increasingly popular over the years because people find it convenient to shop around for great bargains from the comfort of their owns homes. The purpose of the research was to develop a conceptual framework model illustrating the competitiveness of online selling. In this study, the researchers use the quantitative method and utilize a descriptive survey method of research as much as we wanted to know the PROs and CONs of Online Selling in the case of Online Sellers in Lucena City. There are at least 60 respondents (sellers or resellers) who participated in the online survey. The personal background of the respondents and their business background is determined by age, sex, marital status, and years being engaged in online selling and also the products they sold online, their online selling activities, presence of a physical store, type of business, and delivery system. It explains how to determine online selling practices in terms of reaching out to the target market, introducing new products, increasing sales, and building customer networks, as well as enhancement, strategies, and services. The study suggests several tasks for future research to get an understanding of the quality, customer satisfaction, online shopping experience, trust, and word-of-mouth influencing consumer online buying in Lucena City.
