Completed2021

Abstract

Using the descriptive survey design, this study assessed the strategies of Burdeos District teachers on the delivery of learning modules to students in the remote areas as part of the implementation of Modular Distance Learning in the country. It was limited to the responses of eighty-six (86) randomly selected teachers who are teaching in the academic year 2020-2021. The study used a simple random sampling design in selecting the respondents from each primary and secondary school in Burdeos District. It was found out that house to house delivery is very much effective, very much challenging, very much costly, and much faster than through kiosk and scheduled pick up by parents. The problems encountered by the teachers in Burdeos District in the delivery of learning modules are weather condition, distance of home from school and lack of parental support. The study revealed that there is no significant association between the profile of the respondents and the strategies used in the delivery of modules and the problems encountered and there is no significant difference on the perceived feed backs validating the strategies used in the delivery of modules when respondents are grouped by age, number of subjects handled and length of teaching service. And there is a significant difference on the perceived feed backs validating the strategies used in the delivery of modules when respondents are grouped by grade level taught. Thus allocation of additional funds and intensive home visitation was recommended.
