EFFECTIVENESS OF POLICE PATROL IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CURFEW IN PAGBILAO, QUEZON AS PERCEIVED BY SELECTED RESIDENTS

The study primarily focused on the effectiveness of curfew hour patrol in Pagbilao, Quezon as perceived by selected residents. The study also aimed to identify other variables that may affect the safety of the youth when it comes to curfew in Pagbilao, Quezon. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the curfew hour implemented in the selected Barangay of Pagbilao, Quezon. The research design of the study was the opinionative question that deals with the effectiveness of the curfew hour implemented. The purposive sample was applied in the selection of respondents in the selected barangay in Pagbilao, Quezon. The result was the basis if the implemented curfew hour is effective or not, then the researcher design a program that can help to enhance the implemented curfew hour. The researcher identified the factors that can affect the relationship of curfew hours to the selected community or barangay. The results revealed that the existence of Barangay Police or Tanod in the implementation of curfew hours made (a) Security to the community with WAM 3.6 interpreted as strongly agreed (b) Lessened crime and having peace and order with WAM 3.47 and interpreted as strongly agree. The effectiveness of police patrol in the implementation of the curfew hour ordinance has a WAM of 3.54 which is also strongly agreed upon. The effectiveness of police patrol in the implementation of the curfew hour ordinance in the barangay community has a WAM of 3.53 which was also strongly agreed upon. Therefore, most of the respondents strongly agreed that curfew hour is effective in lessening crimes. Hence, the researchers proposed to conduct innovative community orientation to increase awareness of the curfew hour implemented.
