ROUTINE VISIBILITY PATROL: CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED BY BARANGAY POLICE IN SELECTED BARANGAY IN LUCENA CITY

The quantitative study, titled "Routine Visibility Patrol: Challenges Encountered by Barangay Police in Selected Barangay in Lucena City", looked into the various perspectives and observations of Brgy. Tanod regarding the challenges they encounter in their jobs during the patrolling. The study aimed to assess the demographic profile, including their age, sex, position, and years in service. Several issues were identified, including the different routine patrol activities implemented by Barangay Police in selected barangay in Lucena City; the effects of routine visibility patrol on the safety of selected barangay in Lucena City, and the challenges encountered by Barangay Police in the routine visibility patrol in selected barangay in Lucena City. This utilizes quantitative research and descriptive evaluative and comparative study. The respondents of this study are 50 barangay tanod coming from three barangay of Lucena City. The respondents are chosen through a purposive sampling technique. For data gathering, since we are now facing covid 19 pandemic the researchers resulted to gather data through an online survey. The researcher set a meeting using Zoom, google meet, or any communication application and obtain the respondents' permission. The survey is sent through the link with data privacy. Data and information are discovered. The true problem is interpreting and evaluating the data. The researchers evaluate and internalize the underlying complex meanings of the answers. The raw data from the returned questionnaires are coded and entered into the statistical system. To interpret and evaluate, researchers used the frequency count with percentage and the weighted arithmetic mean. To arrive at a definite interpretation result of each variable, the continuum, and verbal description is used. Excess information, which serves no use in the presentation of the study's concerns, shall be removed.
