Completed2023

Abstract

Community mobilization is essentially a process for reaching out to different sectors of a community and creating partnerships in order to focus on, and ultimately address some issues. This includes mobilizing necessary resources, disseminating information, generating support, and fostering cooperation across public and private sectors in the community. This study sought to determine the perception of the community on the implementation of community mobilization practices of Philippine National Police. The study particularly used descriptive method to determine the perception of the community. The respondents of this study were limited to the community particularly those who are currently residing in Lucena City. The researcher used simple random sampling technique in choosing the specific respondents. Results revealed that the most prominent community mobilization program is through conducting community meetings, conducting public debates and outreach programs. The respondents have indicated that they are extremely aware of the community programs being implemented in the community particularly in conducting outreach programs. The biggest issue that they encountered was when there was failure in communication. Maintaining connections to the community is one of the best ways to improve the implementation of community mobilization programs along with providing accurate information to avoid confusion and considering feedbacks from the community for improvement. The researchers suggest to offer a variety of community initiatives to promote community involvement. The researchers emphasize the significance of noting that community development typically happens in steps and the necessity of overcoming obstacles without becoming overly fixated on immediate results.
