THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMS FOR THE YOUTH OF BRGY. AYAAS TAYABAS CITY IN PREVENTING CRIMINAL CASES

The study sought to know the effectiveness of drug awareness programs for the youth of Barangay Ayaas Tayabas City in preventing criminal cases. The design used in the study was a descriptive research design which describes the characteristics of a population or phenomenon being studied. Furthermore, it was fit to determine the level of effectiveness of drug awareness programs, level of implementation, and perceived problems of this youth project in Barangay Ayaas, Tayabas Quezon. Through this method, 45 respondents were given a questionnaire. The self-made questionnaires were distributed to the youth of Barangay Ayaas Tayabas—personally handed to them and collected likewise. After gathering the responses, the results were tallied, computed, and analyzed. Based on the statistical results, the researchers gave proper interpretations and conclusions and devised a brochure about the drug awareness program as an output of the study.
