MUSEO DE MAUBAN: A PROPOSED MUSEUM OF ARTS AND CULTURE

Completed2023

Abstract

The museum acts as a preservation monument and focuses on conservation. The preservation of arts and cultures for future generations is ensured through sustainable development, which lowers the environmental impact. Museum planning should be a continuing process in which the strategic plan is periodically reviewed and revised to meet the changing needs of the community and environment (Lord et al., 1991). A museum must promote sustainable social and cultural development (Yuqin, 2008). This project intends to develop an adaptable and sustainable structure that offers space and facilities to preserve historical items and art collections in their original state and adjusts to the changing demands of the environment. This study involves the development of a sustainable museum based on data obtained through surveys and case studies. It examined the design approach for providing space for holding and processing collection items. It explains how to maintain a museum that can perform this function efficiently and sustainably. Data analysis produces a better solution to the problem, resulting in the promotion and preservation of Mauban culture and arts. Sustainability is the most effective strategy to preserve heritage and resources for future generations while contributing to environmental awareness. The design approach's fundamental ideas may be adapted inside a museum to assist in prioritizing and guiding the allocation of collections care resources. The building incorporates design elements exclusively for human satisfaction, celebrates the culture and place appropriate to its function, and meaningfully integrates public art.
